Bedtime stories 💖

We are taught that all are equal and even it is enshrined in the fundamental rights mentioned in the constitution of India. It's regretful to say but it's seldom followed. Especially when it comes to the dignity of labour. All aspire to be engineers, doctors or IAS officers. The labourers who built our homes or clean our roads are looked down upon. 

Though these thoughts were not explicitly mentioned in the book, I felt that it was implicit in many of the stories i read in the book. Be it in the Lion and the rat story and many more. 

I think parents should read the stories along with kids and ask them what they think about the story and if they can relate it to anything similar at school or in their surroundings. Just a suggestion. 😊 

I loved the illustrations but expect more illustrations in the future books if it's meant for children as it captures their imagination more. Overall, a good book.
