The Unscriptured by Sourish Roy
The Unscriptured by Sourish Roy is a captivating historical thriller, knitted together with the fragments of historical and thrilling events, eventually forming an amazing genre-amalgamated fiction that will insist the readers to finish reading as soon as possible.
Through Roy's masterful storytelling, the reader is taken to the North Bengal, where lives the Bagchi family. During the occasion of their years's old nostalgic Durga Puja, the priest is found dead and a rare statue, inherited by the family goes missing. Debasish and Joyeeta undertakes the task to find it out and during this chase they figured out their family's old history of participation in the struggle for independence.
While the web congeals, one after another historical treasures get revealed; the legendary freedom fighters appear and the profound journey goes on holding its enthralling momentum. Additionally comparison make the book more enrich towards historical factors.
The story starts with a keenly balanced narratives, gains pace and holds on throughout the episodes. The author's extensive knowledge, minute research and meticulous organisation can be witnessed at every phase of the book, he has a talent for building the storyline exquisitely and maintaining a sense of intrigue throughout the story.
The language is little typical to grasp and some of the way the point seems incomplete / cut the half way but the narratives and gripping storyline have provided a sturdy stake to the novel. I ll not at all recommend this book to the beginners. Rest, The story resonates on a profound level, immersing readers in the essence of the mystery.
Overall it's a good read for me. U will definitely liked it . Thumbs up .
