GENRE:- FICTION/NON- FICTION || Anthology

In Search of the Indian Village: Stories and Reports" is a book that offers a glimpse into rural life in India. With 10 chapters featuring works by esteemed authors like Ruskin Bond, Mahasweta Devi, and Amitava Kumar...many more, it covers various aspects of village life.

The book highlights the stories like the camaraderie among mountain dwellers. Some stories explore themes such as the caste system, Bihar culture, the struggles and illegal activities prevalent in rural area ...much more.

Overall, the book provides diverse insights into rural India, making it an enlightening read. However, my personal experience with it was a bit mixed. While I found some writing is engaging while some, I felt somewhat disconnected at times, possibly due to shifts in intensity. I found the fiction sections more captivating than the non-fiction ones.

While I appreciate the attempt to present a mix of fiction and non-fiction, it didn't entirely work for me, as I connected differently with each genre. Nonetheless, the book serves as a valuable exploration of rural life in India.

-Cover:- I like the cover of the book alot , feels like JANAMBOOMI SE JUDI HUE ❣️

-Rating: 3.5/5
